Entrepreneurial farmer groups discuss porridge mixes in new video

The Kapkerer Farmers’ Group and the Kiptoruswo Self-Help Group of Nandi, Kenya produce nutrient-dense porridge mixes by integrating legumes into traditional recipes. They hope to increase production and sales of their products, in part, to improve their financial well-being. As part of the CCRP Multi-purpose Legume project, the farmer groups work with Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KARLO) researchers. In January, students from the CIIFAD Student Multidisciplinary Applied Research Team (SMART) Program visited KARLO and the Nandi farmer groups to guide and learn from their efforts. The students produced the video highlight below.
