A new set of multi-language videos out of the Southern Africa Community of Practice highlights new varieties of common bean that have resistance to beetles. The videos are available in English and Swahili. Insect damage to stored beans can be serious and farmers often use toxic chemicals to control the insects. This poses risks to the health of the people eating the beans. This video shows how some new varieties of common bean have resistance to the beetles which normally feed on them.
