The McKnight Foundation is pleased to announce renewed funding for the McKnight Collaborative Crop Research Program from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  The new grant from Gates Foundation — $25 million over the next five years — will allow McKnight to expand its crop research efforts in sub-Saharan Africa, building on 25 years of support to scientists, organizations, and communities working for food and nutritional security in developing countries.  In her latest blog post, New Gates Foundation Grant Strengthens Program Roots, program director Jane Maland Cady reports on the program’s impact in the region.
